Brandy Vizmanos-Garcia

Brandy Vizmanos-Garcia received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with a major in History and a minor in Political Science from the University of Arizona in 1998. She also earned a middle school endorsement at that time. Brandy later earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Emotional Behavior from the University of Arizona in 2002. She worked in the public school system for 9 years and has been running Calvary Heritage Learning Center for the last 15 years. She has had the great pleasure of working at Hill Creek Christian for the last 9 years.  Brandy will continue to teach and run her own learning center as she settles into her principal position at Academy Northwest.

Brandy has consistently taught history and English over the last 24 years. She taught middle school for 22 years, but she has now moved into just teaching high school classes as her own children have progressed into their secondary level education.

Brandy and her husband, Ed, have been married for 21 years. They moved to Washington State from Tucson, Arizona 20 years ago. They have homeschooled their children for over 14 years. Their son Kyler is 19 years old, and he graduated from high school in June 2021. Kyler is on track to graduate from Marine Boot Camp this fall. Their daughter Sydney is 16 years old and is entering her junior year of high school.  Sydney just earned her 2nd degree black belt, and she instructs at the Stanwood Taekwondo Studio.
