About Me
Cheryl Perron graduated from Seattle Pacific University with her Bachelor’s degree and has continued to obtain several more endorsements in core subject fields. Immediately after graduating she was offered a teaching job with Snohomish Public School District where she taught until her first child was born. Cheryl then learned more about homeschooling and decided that it was a good fit for her four children. Cheryl homeschooled her kids (with the assistance of Academy Northwest) up to entrance into college. After a brief break after the first child was born, Cheryl’s love for teaching was put toward opening up a wonderful blend between homeschooling and a private school for high schoolers, Academy Northwest.
Cheryl’s passion for teaching high schoolers and middle schoolers has blossomed into a large learning center in the Snohomish valley. It serves many students throughout the county with parents feeling supported in their student’s educational journey from a Biblical worldview. They are building new life-long friendships and having an enriching learning experience. Cheryl Perron offers services to help support families as they enter the secondary education phase coming alongside parents to help teach their students to excel in areas of English, science, math, foreign language and history.
About My Learning Center
Our Snohomish learning center meets one day a week with about 60-70 students where we have a wonderful team of teachers offering classes in English, science (Biology, Chemistry, Marine Science) high school level math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II), foreign language, art, occasionally photography, history (World History, Current Issues, US History, Civics and Washington State History) classes are on a four year rotation with the opportunity to get in all the core subjects needed during their 9-12th grade years. During class time students will experience a solid learning time of new material that will help them with homework the rest of the week along with many hands-on experiences including labs, group projects, presentations, etc. Most class sizes are approximately 15-25 students. Our middle school program meets at a different location in Snohomish area on a different day working on a three year rotation getting students prepared for their upcoming high school years covering English, science and history.
