Building a strong foundation is crucial for future success in academics and in life.

After setting a goal to become an aerospace engineer or astrophysicist and earning a B.S. in Physics at Whitworth University, a family crisis caused me to change the course of my future. Instead of designing spacecraft and studying stars, I redirected my future career by becoming a teacher.

Since earning my Masters in Teaching degree in 1997, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities who have unique learning needs. Traditional teaching methods didn’t seem to be effective, so I have developed different approaches to help students learn. Coping with central processing disorders, both visual and auditory, gives me the empathy and motivation needed to work with students requiring more effective learning strategies.

My mission is to provide an alternative for parents and students while maintaining excellence in a caring, safe, and fun learning environment.
