Academics
Registered families will receive pre-trip information and curriculum, which includes links to specific websites for pre-trip study sources. Curriculum is available for elementary, middle school, and high school levels.
The high school course outlines cover various subjects depending on the trip and offer the potential for earned credit. ANW high schoolers need to consult with their Teacher to learn how field study activities may be applied to their current courses.
Trip Logistics
The program fee covers the curriculum, some or all facilities use fees, and the expenses of instructors and guest specialists. ANW will provide accommodation recommendations that offer group discounts, but families may choose their lodging (from hotel to camping). Some families bring their RVs. Attendees will be responsible for their breakfasts, sack lunches, and snacks. Dinners will be group events: a potluck on the first night and usually a BBQ or pizza party the following night.
Students age 12 or older whose parents cannot attend may travel with another registered family who will provide transportation and supervision of the student for the whole time.

“Our family had an incredible time experiencing God’s creation up close on this trip. We made observations alongside experts who could answer
questions, as well as on our own and had opportunity to answer excellent questions (given by the leadership) that deepened our understanding even further. This field study provided us with a new lens through which we can appreciate the gift of nature.”
“I was introduced to so many amazing locations in my own state that I never heard of. The beaches and tidepool exploration were incredible.
The teachers were so kind and helpful. We had an amazing time. An excellent trip for all ages.”
