About Me
I worked for 20+ years in Alternative Programs within Public Schools and Private Schools, focusing on empowering students to take charge of their academic pathways and future.
Working in multi-aged classroom settings with hands-on, experiential activities, to engage student’s ownership of their academic path has supported their growth and mastery of the themes of our studies with English, History, Science, and Math.
Currently, I conference, individually and collaboratively, with students and their parents regularly as we explore each student’s academic needs and aspirations. The students I work with seek autonomy, mastery, and purpose on their academic journey toward creating a future that supports their individual quests on multiple fronts.
Some of my interests include maritime trades such as boat building, voyaging, and ‘Sailor Science’ (Marine Biology). I also enjoy tiny house development and gardening.
