About My Learning Center
At this point in my life, I believe God is calling me back to assisting parents and students in completing a high school education that is individual and inspiring. My desire is to help students acquire the skills and knowledge that are needed to assist in their future life, a life serving God and others with their talents and gifts. My most treasured memories are those of teaching individual students to become all that they can be. My daughter gave me the most incredible compliment when she told me that she wanted me to homeschool her children as I homeschooled her.

Our Class Offerings
The plan for for my learning center is to meet with 9-12th grade students/parents at least once a week, via Zoom or in-person. I am currently remarried and in my retirement years, so I want the flexibility of traveling, yet still being able to connect with the student and parent – encouraging, assisting, scheduling and recording progress. Inspiring one another to a life built on Christ is a major component of these meetings. Because I want to connect with and personalize the education experience for each of my students and parents, I only wish to serve between 5 and 10 students in a school year. Occasional group meetings may be scheduled because I love to host community building events. I am located in Battle Ground, Washington, however, since I am willing to meet online, you may be located anywhere to be in my learning center. I usually plan to meet with students/parents during normal work week. These will be scheduled on a constant appointment.
I would also like to offer a one credit Statistics and Data Science Online class. This would be mainly for 11thand 12th graders. This course will be a discussion-based math class. With so much data in the world and statements about that data being thrown around, I believe it is one of the most important areas of study currently. People need to learn how to decipher the truth. Understanding the process of collecting, questioning, summarizing and reporting data is crucial. This would be open to anyone that has the ability to connect by Zoom and participate in online discussions both in the online group meeting and in a dedicated discussion board.
