Who We Are

Our Mission:

Our mission is to partner with parents to provide a Christ-centered, accredited education that is individualized for each unique student.

Our Vision:

We disciple each student to fulfill their purpose and calling in becoming image-bearers of Christ for God’s glory.

Our Beliefs:

We believe all children are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) and derive their value, identity, and purpose directly from God.  We believe God has given parents the responsibility to train and educate their children according to his principles laid out in scripture (Deut. 6: 5-7). Our role is to come alongside parents and partner with them in this pursuit by providing an individualized educational experience in a safe and respectful learning environment.

Our Values:

  • Student Achievement:  At Academy Northwest, students gain the skills, knowledge, and maturity to achieve educational and personal goals.

  • Family Partnerships:  Academy Northwest partners with students’ parents and their families to effectively support the student’s educational journey and the school’s mission.

  • Servant Leadership:  Through the discipleship process, students learn to be the hands and feet of Jesus when given the opportunity to connect classroom learning with genuine service in their communities.

  • Biblical Worldview:  Our worldview is based on God’s unchanging Word since He is the Creator and the ultimate authority.  This is the foundation for what we believe and do at Academy Northwest (1 Corinthians 3:11).

Our Pillars:

  • Academy Northwest's guiding principles are based on the belief that God’s Word is the ultimate authority and absolute truth in life.

  • We follow Christ’s example in all our endeavors and offer a comprehensive learning experience that integrates students’ character and spiritual growth.

  • We disciple students to serve the kingdom of God in all stages of life.

  • We value student individuality and seek to humbly serve students from diverse backgrounds and levels of educational attainment.

  • We offer choices for individualized learning and prepare students for future academic and career success by integrating a learning-style diverse curriculum and real-world educational experiences.

  • We create a respectful environment in which faculty, staff, parents, and students feel supported in achieving their God-given potential. â€‹

Statement of Faith

  • All Scripture is God-breathed. The words of the sixty-six books of the Bible were written by men of God moved by the Holy Spirit. The whole Bible is without error in the original manuscripts and therefore authoritative in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

  • God eternally exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are the one God (Matthew 28:18-19, Deuteronomy 6:4).

  • Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary. He is the true God and true man (Luke 1:30-35, John 1:18, Hebrews 4:15).

  • Man was originally created by God in His own image; “male and female He created them.” Through sin, man fell and lost his spiritual life becoming dead in his sin and subject to the power of Satan. Thus, man is in need of salvation (Genesis 1:27, 3:1-24, Ephesians 2:1-2).

  • In response to man’s need, God the Father sent Jesus to this world to make atonement for sin. His substitutionary death on the cross and His bodily resurrection from the dead provide the basis for salvation. His atonement is sufficient for all, yet efficient only for those who believe (John 3:16-17, 1 Timothy 2:3-6, Mark 10:45).

  • Salvation for man comes only by grace through faith in Jesus and His provision on the cross. Since salvation is a gift from God, a believer is secure forever (Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 11:29).

  • The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the time of conversion. His baptism unites all believers to Christ in one body. He is the believer’s source of power for all acceptable worship and service (1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 5:18:20, Ephesians 4: 7-16).

  • It is God’s will for believers to live a holy life in cooperation with the indwelling Holy Spirit while putting to death the deeds of the flesh. God the Father does discipline His children when they sin (1 Thessalonians 4:3, Romans 8:13, Hebrews 12:4-11).

  • The primary purpose in the life of the believer is to glorify God in everything and to make Christ known to the unbelieving world until His return (Colossians 3:23-24, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

  • We believe God has ordained and created marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity (Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:4-9, Mark 10:5-9, Ephesians 5:31-33).

Christian Worldview

A Christian worldview is incorporated throughout all instruction at Academy Northwest because we believe that God is the source of truth and that the Bible is His revelation of Himself, creation, mankind, sin, and redemption.

A worldview is a framework from which we view reality and make sense of life, the world, and man’s relationship to God, creation, and others. So, we integrate into our teaching the beauty of God’s creation, His directing of human history and individual lives, His revelation of what is good and righteous versus what is evil and sinful, and His gospel of redemption and reconciliation. When studied objectively, the biblical worldview is the only worldview that makes sense and does not contradict itself.

To further advance this goal, one of our high school graduation requirements is a one-semester Biblical Worldview course. We incorporate material from Worldview Academy in this course and share the same statement of faith.

We do not require parents or students to sign a statement of faith or a doctrinal statement. However, parents or students cannot restrict nor censor the biblical worldview in instruction. Academy Northwest does not endorse any specific denomination but adheres to the truth of Scripture.
