Hybrid Home Education...

Academy Northwest is an accredited Christian private school that offers your student an individually tailored education that is very different from the “factory” model often used in a traditional school. Our approach honors the student’s learning needs, while also challenging the student to new levels of understanding and skill. If something is not working for the student, the teacher can draw upon his or her experience, the parent’s insights, the student’s feedback, recommended resources, and collaborate with fellow Academy Northwest teachers.  This collaboration process produces a hybrid education experience that allows you to direct your students' education path, while utilizing the resources offered in a private Christian school setting.

Unlike most schools, we do not endorse or follow just one curriculum source but instead, our teachers draw from a large pool of effective educational resources. This process is built into the ongoing professional development opportunities in which each teacher participates. In this way, all of our families benefit from the knowledge and collaboration of the entire faculty, even though they only work with one specific teacher, or a local team of teachers depending on the size of the learning center. For a particular class that a teacher may be offering, a student will often use a required text or resources, but the overall learning program is tailored to fit each student’s learning needs.
