Nadine Cloud

True North Learning Center currently specializes in tutoring, consultation, and small group instruction for private, public, and homeschooled students.

Nadine Cloud grew up in Sacramento, CA and earned her associate degree from Cosumnes River College. She then went on to graduate from California State University, Stanislaus with her BA in Education and continued on to earn her teaching certificate there as well. By this time, she and her husband were expecting their first child. Nadine was unsure whether to start teaching or stay home a while with her first child. She decided to get out her resume and leave the decision to the Lord. Long story short, she was pleased to stay home with her baby the first year. Then, as she continued to grow her little family, she worked in the education field part time doing testing, tutoring, and providentially, homeschooling for hire. This opened the door to seriously considering homeschooling her own children, which turned out to be one of the greatest blessings of her life.

In 2019 the Cloud family moved to Lewis County, Washington and asked around about homeschool options for highschoolers. They heard wonderful things about the Lewis County Learning Center and Academy Northwest. After meeting ANW teachers Loren and Linda Krenelka and learning more, the Clouds knew that this was where they wanted to land, and they haven’t looked back.

After loving and leading ANW students for over 30 years, the Krenelkas were due to retire. They encouraged Nadine to train with ANW and graciously have been mentoring her since then. Now Nadine is an ANW Teacher working with both high school and elementary students.

Nadine sees working with homeschooling and ANW families as a big part the path that God started her on as a child when He gave her a love for learning and a desire to help others learn too. She can clearly see where God led her away from the life she had planned, and into the much better life He had prepared for her. She is passionate about families homeschooling and discipling for Jesus, and she’s blessed to use whatever God gives her to walk alongside students and their families.
