Wendy has been involved in the education field for at least 40 years as a teacher in many capacities.  She has been a K-12 classroom teacher, home hospital teacher, and a substitute teacher.  Wendy has also taught adult education, under-serviced families, and preschool children.  At her learning center, she currently serves students in grades K - 12, including special needs students, home school students, and emotional behavior students.   Following her graduation from Central Washington University, she has continued to attend classes to further develop her teaching skills.

Wendy believes all students are individuals and learn through their own learning styles and unique gifts.  Students of all ages should be encouraged to participate in learning decisions along with their parents/guardians.  Most of all, education should be an enjoyable learning experience but still challenge the learner to grow and reach their life goals.

Of special note:  Wendy was awarded Citizen of the Year by the city of Burien in 2017 for her work with under-served families and students from around the world.  She also received national recognition for “Helping Girls in Stem Classes" in 2019.
